My "Ask" is two things:
1. Please let me know if you have something digital that I can offer as part of the package when the invitations go out to people on May 16, 17, and 18. For example, I will be offering my LinkedIn Secrets E-book as part of the package when people purchase two books during this time.
2.Please help me push the message out to all your connections when the time comes.
Here's a thought! We could do this for all the authors in our group that would like to have their book be a best seller. -We could set up campaigns on different dates, of course.

You may have collected a great number of connections on LinkedIn... You may not even understand why, but you keep building it. You got yourself registered and barely got a simple profile half done, realized it is complicated or did not understand what to do with it. Perhaps you left with intentions to return another day. Well, I have discovered that many people never return. Then there are others who return to LinkedIn after a very long time. Is this you?
Were you like me? I felt I was expected to be there, after all, I was told that is where business people want to do business. I felt as if I was "dragged kicking and screaming" into LinkedIn. Not because I wanted to be, but because I thought I was expected to be. Sound familiar?
Over the past 4 years I have learned that it is not about being there, it is about what you do on there that truly counts. It is about knowing the key tricks to effectively use LinkedIn to make quality connections with the people I want to know and to do business with. Make sense?
Would you like to understand LinkedIn enough to actually get clients from it? ... and then to leverage them to get business from it? Most of my clients came through my connections on LinkedIn, and you can do that too.
If I could show you how to make this change and do it within a couple of hours together, would that bring value to you and your results?
It is also true that marketing yourself online is one thing, but to be aware of the challenges involved to do it safely and securely is yet another.
Soon I discovered that (once they admitted it) there are many people out there that shared the same feelings I did when I first tackled LinkedIn. As I attended networking meetings with them I noticed that many had grey hair. These same people found themselves in the same position as I did...Fired at Fifty. Whether that is you or not... would you like better results?
It is my desire to help all those people in some way to be able to learn how to use LinkedIn effectively and get clients or build better quality relationships.
Have you been "Fired at Fifty"? This workshop, limited to 15 people, will show you how to you market yourself and learn key tools you need to succeed as an entrepreneur. My book, "Fired at Fifty: Stop looking for work and discover what you were meant to do", is written to help those who have found themselves without work and without prospects of work. If this is you, it will help you find your strengths and be able to sell yourself effectively both online and offline.
This will be a profitable session like none-other that you have attended or experienced.
You will get the "KEYS" to making great and safe connections online, and specifically LinkedIn.
I am pleased to be facilitating the "Are You Linked In Securely?" Workshop along with George Greenwood. For this dynamic two-hour workshop, we have teamed up to provide you with useful information that will become the valuable tools that you need to get closer to the results you want.
You are welcome to bring your laptop, so you can implement the ideas during the workshop. Wi-Fi is provided by both the Fraser Valley Library and the Township of Langley.
Get your questions answered on the spot, while you build your own LinkedIn experience.

They have figured out a way to provide us with a tool for building our networks, and it is up to us to make it work.
With all the different meet-ups that are happening, it is a challenge to attend everything, however, HOBN should be the "Core" of all our networking. I meet new people all the time who do not even know about HOBN. I didn't know about HOBN, before I joined. I happened on it purely by accident.
If we wait for people to accidentally find our network, how fast do we think it will grow.
The reason we want more people to attend and join our network is because we then have more people, who have their connections, who we have a potential of meeting.
Sometimes I think we get it backwards. Remember, networking at HOBN is not all about US. Networking is all about THEM. It is about finding ways we can help THEM. (Others) It is through helping THEM that we will help US.
In order to make it work, we need to invite, invite, invite...and then invite some more. We also need to attend, attend, attend...and attend some more.
We now have this great tab at the top right corner of this page where we can very simply invite people to attend the meetings with us. What I find works best in this process is to attend the meeting you have invited your guest to, as well, so you can give them support in meeting everyone at the meeting. It helps your guest to feel special, just to have you there.
Make it a point to attend at least one HOBN meeting a week.
I love HOBN and this wonderful platform that Howard and George have created. I'm sold...how about you?
Let's make this the best network in the World! I believe we can do it together...but it will take a TEAM effort.

Was it you who told me? I guess it didn't register, because I was at the Buzz Cafe for an 8am meeting, when I heard all the noise upstairs and saw all the people lined up for their "coffee and calories". I asked someone (Maybe that was you!) in the line-up what was going on, and they said, "Oh, this is HOBN! Do you know what that is?" I said, "No, not really." (or something like that) Then this person invited me to come upstairs and sit in on the meeting. That was the day they had the website maven there showing everyone all about the new platform. Well, I was impressed, so I came back the next week. After that, I didn't wait for my 30 free trial to complete, I just went home and signed up.
Howard Olson was a guest on my show, and I had heard about HOBN when we spoke, and he offered me a free 30-day trial at that time, as well.
However, it wasn't until I was at an actual meeting that everything jelled.

One of the things I teach in my workshops and coaching sessions on LinkedIn is to ONLY invite people to connect with you if you know them. Now, you can build relationships on LinkedIn with people you meet there by connecting without being connected, so to speak, and once you have engaged in a discussion through one of the groups, you build rapoir, and can invite to connect at that time. In my training, I teach all about how to connect without being connected and how to connect without being IDK'd. (IDK means "I Don't Know" you.) All you need is 5 people to say they don't know you, and your account will be frozen.
If you go into your LinkedIn account and start inviting people to link up with you "willy-nilly", without knowing these people, the chances are very high that you will get your LinkedIn account frozen. Then you have to go through a long process to get it "Unfrozen". If it happens again, it becomes even more difficult to get your account unfrozen, and if it happens several times, you can lose your account all together.
I know this because I have had my account frozen once. I have since spoken with people on LinkedIn who have lost their accounts and had to start all over again, because they were being IDK'd.
It is my sincere desire to help my HOBN friends in any way I can.
For my master plan, attend my next workshops: June 27th and 28th; 7pm-10pm each evening; at Desjardins office Conference Room, 15050-54A Avenue, Surrey, Unit #4.
