Though it is impossible to say how many RSVPs will become attendees, we now have 26 people RSVP'd on Meetup as well as the 9 HOBN members who have either RSVP'd here on HOBN or emailed me directly to say you plan to attend tomorrow. Our room holds 20 - we want to make sure members have a seat so please arrive no later than 11:45. The great news is you should have 15+ people there who haven't heard about your business or the great things HOBN has to offer yet, so it's definitely worth coming out and being early. :)
Reminder that there is parking under Sutton Place Hotel (Burrard @ Smithe), across the street at the Scotia Theatre parkade, under the IGA and at the courthouse as well as at nearby meters. We're in the Pol Roger 2 room adjacent to Fleuri Restaurant.
(Our W2 Media Cafe venue for our April 18 @ 7:15am meeting holds 30 people so let's hope we keep getting these numbers. Thank you for your support and please keep helping us pass the word.)

There are still 57 updates/bug fixes to be made to the website and, in a perfect world, I wouldn't choose to be sharing it until every one of them had been polished and made shiny. But we entrepreneurs live in THIS world, a real one where timing counts for a lot and opportunities must be seized as they present themselves... we have to know that good today is better than perfect tomorrow.
In that spirit, I invite you to our meeting (which is guaranteed to be an absolute BLAST, really) and to poke around our beta website, knowing it is just a taste of what we are growing up to become.
Everything great starts with a beginning. I invite you to share in Copia's beginning. :)

We're so excited to be kicking off in the beautiful upstairs loft space at Pacifico, with great pastas, pizzas, salads and sandwiches to suit every appetite and price range (no minimum spend but please show your appreciation to them for having us). Vegetarian or gluten-free is also no problem.
What can you expect from a Copia meeting?
Copia is for business.
We have professional crushes on hundreds of entrepreneurs. We dig start-ups and innovative joint ventures. And we believe socially responsible corporations do more to change the world for the better than even the most progressive government or grassroots organization. Actually, we think the best businesses ARE grassroots organizations (they’re just well-tended and groomed) and we want Copia to be both fertile ground to help them grow and the Town Hall or Barn Raising that brings all the farmers together in support and celebration.
We honour social venture. And we dig just a little deeper into our topsoil to surface a fourth bottom line we believe social entrepreneurs truly need: a spiritual foundation which grounds and guides change agency and cultural creativity to become Spirit Venture: People, planet, profit…. presence.
A Copia HOBN meeting has all of the components of a regular HOBN meeting (networking, food, infomercials from members and then guests, encouragement of dialogue after the formal agenda)
PLUS
a few minutes of programming designed to inspire, to elevate, to call in a higher vision by working with our Higher Selves and not just the little-people-in-a-big-maze vantage point that we can all sometimes get caught up in.
You can expect to make new business connections and generate referrals. You can also expect to loudly celebrate innovation and success (your own and all that is happening around you) and to use that inspiration like a shot of rocket fuel for your current and future ventures.
