You may have collected a great number of connections on LinkedIn... You may not even understand why, but you keep building it. You got yourself registered and barely got a simple profile half done, realized it is complicated or did not understand what to do with it. Perhaps you left with intentions to return another day. Well, I have discovered that many people never return. Then there are others who return to LinkedIn after a very long time. Is this you?
Were you like me? I felt I was expected to be there, after all, I was told that is where business people want to do business. I felt as if I was "dragged kicking and screaming" into LinkedIn. Not because I wanted to be, but because I thought I was expected to be. Sound familiar?
Over the past 4 years I have learned that it is not about being there, it is about what you do on there that truly counts. It is about knowing the key tricks to effectively use LinkedIn to make quality connections with the people I want to know and to do business with. Make sense?
Would you like to understand LinkedIn enough to actually get clients from it? ... and then to leverage them to get business from it? Most of my clients came through my connections on LinkedIn, and you can do that too.
If I could show you how to make this change and do it within a couple of hours together, would that bring value to you and your results?
It is also true that marketing yourself online is one thing, but to be aware of the challenges involved to do it safely and securely is yet another.
Soon I discovered that (once they admitted it) there are many people out there that shared the same feelings I did when I first tackled LinkedIn. As I attended networking meetings with them I noticed that many had grey hair. These same people found themselves in the same position as I did...Fired at Fifty. Whether that is you or not... would you like better results?
It is my desire to help all those people in some way to be able to learn how to use LinkedIn effectively and get clients or build better quality relationships.

1.Your professional profile picture is an absolute MUST!!! People need to be able to recognize you. If you don't have a profile picture, then check out Carlos at Art of Headshots.
2.Put posts up on the home page of the website on a regular basis about events and things you are looking for, or things that you have found to be of great interest and think others would enjoy as well. The more we see you participate and interact here the better we will all come to know you and then also want to do business with you.
I look forward to having the opportunity of meeting all the members of HOBN eventually, in person.
