It wasn't easy before the timeline feature. You certainly don't want your page to look like your personal profile. However you do want to keep your brand name out there so you are the one will contact. The page needs to tell a little about who you are, how you can help, in the case of restaurants what kind of dining atmosphere will have, and in the case of retail what kind of selection will find when they visit your store or web site.

My daughter does these free massages for the corporations in Halifax, and has now got a booming business there. In fact she is so busy that people have to get on a waiting list in order to get an appointment with her.
This young man, Joshua Bremner, is looking to build his health and wellness business for massage therapy through giving free massages to the staff of corporations in Vancouver area.
You can check him out on LinkedIn, if you like. His website is www.triggerpointmassage.ca. Check him out.
I am inviting him to attend the Langley HOBN.
    Many thanks for your help.

How I turned being “Pink-Slipped” into a blessing.

Stop looking for work and discover what you were meant to do!

Vancouver, British Columbia -- This book is for people who are 50+ and have found themselves out of work, downsized, or fired, and 5-10 years short of their financial goals for retirement. Learn how to pull your education, experience, knowledge and wisdom together into something tangible that you can offer the world…and get paid for it. Understand the do’s and don’ts of online and offline relationship marketing. How do you present yourself to the world and how will “the world” receive you? Are you stumbling along trying to make an impression? How do you get your self-confidence going? What do you have to offer? Embrace the new media challenges of online communication, learning how to present to the world, with the new you! You cannot do it alone! Christine holds your hand as you navigate the world of Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and UTube. Join Christine in dragging yourself into the 21st Century kicking and screaming! You are not alone! Christine will help you find ways to “become who you were meant to be” online and offline.

Christine has just been nominated as a finalist for the Woman of Worth Business and Prosperity Award. The winner will be announced at the Annual WOW Event, Fairmont Hotel Vancouver in Vancouver, British Columbia on May 12, 2012.
    About the award:
    1. Valuing and respecting herself, as well as others.
    2. Acknowledging her power from within, and leading through inspiration.
    3. Experiencing challenges, and learning from them with fortitude and grace.
    4. Embracing her authenticity, inner strength and courage.
    5. Celebrating life, and bringing much-needed kindness and radiance into our world.

In addition to the above 5 elements, the recipient is recognized for creating a respectful and productive workplace, and promoting employees' and/or colleagues' healthy lifestyle and career development. She excels in her commitment to successful and prosperous business management, and utilizes her sustainable achievements as foundations for the future.

She will be pre-launching her soon-to-be-released book, Fired and Wired at Fifty, to be launched this summer, and will be available for interviews and questions.

Christine was nominated for this award because she has inspired many people who have been fired at 50 and felt lost in the new world of social media and the cloud. She inspires those who are 50+ and holds your hand as you drag yourself into the 21st century kicking and screaming!

1.Your professional profile picture is an absolute MUST!!! People need to be able to recognize you. If you don't have a profile picture, then check out Carlos at Art of Headshots.
2.Put posts up on the home page of the website on a regular basis about events and things you are looking for, or things that you have found to be of great interest and think others would enjoy as well. The more we see you participate and interact here the better we will all come to know you and then also want to do business with you.
I look forward to having the opportunity of meeting all the members of HOBN eventually, in person.
Make the best of this wonderful platform that you can, and you will be amazed at the response you will receive.
