Generally, there are anywhere between 15 and 25 business people around the table, and many referrals, business related tips and tricks, and laughs are being shared. Come see for yourself and experience networking done the right way = without expectations!

Can't wait for our May 1st meeting at the Sutton Place Hotel (Burrard @ Smithe, 11:45am - 1:30pm - walk through Fleuri Restaurant to the private room in the back on the left). Between Meetup, HOBN and direct emails to me, we have 45 RSVPs which should translate to a good 32 attendees, up from... see more Can't wait for our May 1st meeting at the Sutton Place Hotel (Burrard @ Smithe, 11:45am - 1:30pm - walk through Fleuri Restaurant to the private room in the back on the left). Great spirits and great ventures, all in one - you know these are people you want to meet!
I'm excited to report that I've negotiated an ongoing arrangement with the Canadian Memorial Centre for Peace (Burrard & 16th) to be one of our principal venues starting with lunch on May 16 and they're giving us their beautiful Great Hall... 20 foot ceilings, 15 foot windows, a gorgeous hearth... so warm and welcoming, you'll want to bring guests... room for us to grow to 40 per meeting with lots of space... plus free parking!
To get ready for your best networking experience possible, may we suggest:
1. Put addresses and directions in your Smartphone
2. Where you have to pay using a parking meter, drop a twonie in to get started and then email or text yourself the meter number to add time - then, if you make some great connections and want to mingle past two hours, you're safe and won't get a ticket
3. Bring plenty of business cards, marketing table display materials and, if you like, a door prize

5. Please take a moment to send our www.meetup.com/copianetwork link to 2 or 3 awesome heart-based people you know. We've got 22 people registered on Meetup and 8 here on HOBN. We had 20 attendees last time and are setting our sights on 25 next week. By the way, thanks for your advice. Changing the business name costs a lot less than I anticipated ($10 for the registry and $32 for a name search), so I'm going ahead with it.
I'm also planning on offering web site optimization for smart phones (iPhones, Android and Blackberry)!

The great news is you should have 15+ people there who haven't heard about your business or the great things HOBN has to offer yet, so it's definitely worth coming out and being early. :)
Reminder that there is parking under Sutton Place Hotel (Burrard @ Smithe), across the street at the Scotia Theatre parkade, under the IGA and at the courthouse as well as at nearby meters. We're in the Pol Roger 2 room adjacent to Fleuri Restaurant.
(Our W2 Media Cafe venue for our April 18 @ 7:15am meeting holds 30 people so let's hope we keep getting these numbers. Thank you for your support and please keep helping us pass the word.)

Important Note about Inviting Guests:
Whenever you invite guests to an HOBN meeting in Yaletown please do educate them about the $7.50 minimum purchase, the two breakfast choices they have and what these include. This will ensure that the process at the counter is smooth and pleasant for everybody.
In the past few weeks there were several occasions where guests did not know about the minimum purchase or the existing breakfast options, which created awkward moments for both parties at the counter, in addition to time being wasted. And you know what a precious commodity time is at The Buzz on a Thursday morning. :-)
So please inform your guests about the experience at the Buzz, including how an early arrival may secure them a good spot at the table etc. This way they are prepared and are more likely to have an overall enjoyable experience.
Thanks a lot to you all for doing such a great job at bringing your connections to HOBN Yaletown - we appreciate the opportunity of getting to know all these wonderful folks.
