    Some things to look at:
    1. look at page 11 Financial Review From KPMG Chartered accountants
    2. look at page 13 approach to executive compensation
    3. look at page 15 Executive compensation
    4. look at page 15 Management responsibility for financial reporting
    5. look at page 15 Accountability
    6. look at page 17 Board of Directors

The figures stated in Neil's post re: World Vision Canada are so wrong.
from my research I would say they do good work and are worthy of
    your consideration.

But as I have previously said do your own research my fellow HOBN members.
    Make up your own mind.

Yes it's nice to have "real" people to talk to, but I ended up on the phone with them for several hours and the end result was not satisfactory: I lost all the emails stored on my laptop, all emails were deleted from the server after seven days and an important invoice did not get to my client and I was not notified it had not gone through. And that's just a few of the problems I've had. I don't know whether this is because I'm a Mac user, but naturally I am now seeking an alternative provider.

I've just had a lot of bad experience with companies that take days or weeks to respond and hide behind e-mail only tech support.

Here's a strategy that i stumbled upon for emails I forward everything through a g-mail account.
(you can pay a yearly subscription to google so you can run all your branded emails EG: mia@miaweinberg.com ) and no one knows it's going through A gmail account.

Then you set up the connection as Imap this will allow you to sync all your devices so if you preview e-mails on your phone they can be managed on each device. the Gmail account has an huge storage space so you are not tempted to delete every email.
This I learned quite by accident and has saved my bacon several times when devices have died.
But alas the Big 'G' is not infallible my gmail account stopped sending me emails for 5 hr this afternoon. (and I don't think they are that accessible if you need to get a hold of someone to talk to.)
With all the fun we all go through with technology I think I understand where the term "on the bleeding edge of technology" comes from.
      Best Regards
