Teaching Management Fundamentals at FIC is a blessing. I am surrounded by students from all over the world, hungry to learn more about the possibilities of life and how to make good decisions. Incorporating my Personal Development curricula into this course, my students are learning that "management" is not just for those in business, but is used in every part of their lives. My GrowForward Youth Success strategies and my business experience are combined to challenge my students and have lots of fun in the meantime.

JoAnne Ward infectiously inspires youth to discover and define what really excites them; what can help turn their life into something meaningful, and supply the relevance and future application of what they are learning in school.

The critical skills that JoAnne helps your child uncover will serve them in a career, no matter what vocation they choose. JoAnne will help to cultivate the knowledge and relevance for their future education and careers. She has an in-depth understanding of how to support teens and young adults (ages 13-24) to recognize their strengths and manage their weaknesses through those strengths.

She’s much more than a tutor or mentor. Within the past 30 years, JoAnne has developed a unique combination of institutional and field experience including the public education system (Secondary school, Adult Education, and College levels), business, and entrepreneurial sectors. As a Board Certified Life Coach, Master Leader, educator, speaker, and author, her expertise resides in the areas of self-discovery, academic improvement, job readiness, leadership, confidence building, and team effectiveness.

I am dedicated to the "overwhelmed" business woman who needs a balanced lifestyle between home and career. Having learned through personal experience what the detrimental affects of "having and doing it all" do to one's health, relationships, family and career; I can help women through the process of changing for a stress-free life of balance, joy, and relief.

I offer presentations (live and by tele-seminar) to women's in networking groups, organizations and corporations. My next seminars begin in January, 2010.

As a professional coach, trained at Coach University, I offer my coaching skills to women who need sustained support and guidance to discover their innate strengths, and to achieve what they want in life. I also take the pressure off them by coaching and advising their young adult children who are struggling with the transition from school to the workplace.

I offer personal coaching, career planning and academic advising for teens and young adults. Youth who are overwhelmed with homework, activities, expectations, work, and their social life often need one-on-one mentoring to get back on track.

I offer self management tools and skills in time management, prioritizing, organizing, project management, self esteem, and communicating to help teens realize their full potential and to be in better control of their actions and activities.

I assist them in setting excellent learning and organizational habits to become a student without debt!

I have written 11 published text books for Canadian distribution and BC Ministry of Education. My creativity and dedication flourished when we piloted an out-of school Business club for our students and Junior Achievement BC adopted the model. I enjoyed developing a thriving Business department, District Career Programs, and career and post secondary education conferences and seminars for thousands of students in Grades 11 and 12.
