As a Canadian race car driver with his sights on world championships, a major component of my job is to secure and retain corporate sponsorship. It has been my observation that traditional motor-sport sponsorship programs are not effective in providing the sponsor with a measurable return on investment. My program resolves this problem. I am looking for individuals or companies who will benefit from becoming involved, either as sponsors or as a part of my management team.

Entry is only $25 which includes a pit pass so you can get up close to all the cars and talk to the drivers and crew. Come by my pit for a personal tour of the whole team and the race car.
Kids under 12 are free. Parking is free.
I'm looking forward to seeing many HOBN members there!

NHRA points website.
24 cars were entered in the event out of which we qualified a very strong fourth, well ahead of many of the heavy hitters in the series. Even just to qualify for this eight car field was a huge accomplishment.
Here is a fantastic video of the whole weekend: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dqDcf8QkKjw&feature=share
I'd like to ask you a question, that was asked of me last weekend, I would really like to hear your answers.
Please, I would appreciate a moment of your time to consider this and reply.
I was talking to the father of another racer, when he asked me: "Why are not more local and Canadian businesses supporting you, jumping on your bandwagon to cash in on your success? You are obviously doing very well with your limited budget and more than capable of becoming a world champion, what do we have to do to get you the support you need and deserve? Everyone wins when you win."
I've been thinking about this a lot since that conversation, and I have some ideas, but I see this from a very different perspective than you do, and I would greatly appreciate hearing your thoughts on this question.
What else can I do? And how can you help me to do it?
We can be a world champion, with my limited resources I am currently number three in the world, and let me point out that my budget has only allowed me to compete in two of the four events so far. Had I competed in all four events I could very well be number one.
Feel free to email me, or call me, anytime at all, your thoughts and ideas are always welcome.
And your support is appreciated immensely.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Jim Obalek

What's missing?
Are you still asking and asking and asking? And are you keeping the momentum of asking up?
I once participated in a teleconference program. It was lead by Paul Trurro - an amazingly effective leader in Personal & Growth Development programs I have participated in. Whenever he took on producing results for a program that was having lack luster results, he would explode those results exponentially. 100s of people from all over North America participated in this teleconference.
One of the biggest things I learned from him and have now personally experienced whenever I am disciplined enough to follow the guidelines is that as human beings we almost always give up too early. If we are willing to keep asking we will produce results. Even if we are not asking effectively, if we keep doing it we will produce results. Often we give up just when we are about to reap the reward. Or we have some small amount of success and then stop there rather than keeping the momentum. Somewhere along the line we lose this ability to keep persisting as we grow up and become "adults".
My favourite analogy is of a child who wants a cookie. He asks his mother and she says, "No, dinner is ready soon". A minute later he asks again - and then again and again and again and again. Finally his mother relents and pulls out the cookie jar. The child then reaches in and takes two.
Jim, as I pursue my wild and crazy dream of Under the Piano I have experienced some pretty interesting and difficult times financially. I have chosen that because I am committed to and passionate about my dream. But you know what, every time - without fail - that I have encountered one of these difficult situations, "asking" of my community has produced the results I need. Just like you are now.
This may not be what you need, but it's what I have to contribute to you right now.
Of course,
It could be that you have an unused Under the Piano certificate. My piano is waiting for you to come and enjoy that experience and when you do you will have the big a ha moment you need to catapult you forward in your sponsorship game : )

Yes, I do keep asking and asking and asking, and I agree fully with the philosophy of perseverance. That is what has gotten me this far, and I will persevere and become a world champion.
My request here is to try to see my current position from an outside perspective so I can better assess how to continue with the momentum I have, as well as to hopefully get some new fresh ideas. And most importantly to let as many people as possible know now is a huge opportunity to cash in on my current successes and benefit from becoming involved.
A sincere thank you Craig, I truly appreciate you taking the time to read, consider and reply to my message.
I will redeem my certificate this summer, I promise. I have a plan for it. ;)11 months ago -

I want to be clear here, when it comes to sponsorship I am not looking for handouts, (although they will be accepted), I am looking for companies that want to build a successful marketing partnership that will show a return on their investment. A return that they define.
As unusual at it may seem, I have some great opportunities to promote green businesses that is showing fantastic success with BNAC Environmental solutions.
Any companies in the green sector that want to benefit on my current and future success are encouraged to contact me or be introduced to me.
More mainstream media exposure always helps too, mention me to anyone you may know in TV, Radio, or newspapers.
